The International Air Transport Association (IATA) – Competency-Based, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Recurrent Training Programme was successfully conducted from the 26th to the 29th, 2026, at Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
As the first DGR training session conducted for the year, the programme brought together industry professionals for an intensive and internationally aligned learning experience focused on the safe handling, classification, documentation, and transportation of dangerous goods by air in accordance with global aviation standards.
The successful completion of the programme reflects the industry’s continued commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the strengthening of safety culture within Sri Lanka’s aviation and logistics sectors. The training further reinforces the importance of maintaining globally recognized competencies and best practices in an increasingly complex and highly regulated air cargo environment.
